Day 2 was not as many stops, and more lengthy country drives. The first stretch in the morning was glorious, and Mrs. IM took a few pics from the passenger seat. This is us in our rally shirts.
The cars lined up at the Indian casino where we stayed and we rolled out from Corning together. Sadly, the Jag had a bit of engine trouble, but he got it sorted and caught up quickly. That guy rules so hard.
We stopped at Thunder Hill Raceway, a recreational track that had awesome race cars. We had lunch, did a photo shoot, and checked out people on the skid pad. The museum is working with Infiniti on getting cars for a Japanese classics show during Car Week in Monterey. He took pics of the Sunchaser to send to Infiniti for consideration. Infiniti makes the call, but how cool would it be to show the car in Monterey? We will see.
This place was a great stop
The guys on the skid pad looked like they were having lots of fun, and our group’s cars looked great.
The guy who owns this Fiat is with the museum, and has owned the 124 for 25 years. It is a 1981 special edition, and very nice. He talked our ear off about how special Fiats are and warned my wife to only have old Italians who are properly trained do any work on it. He joined up and drove the rest of the way with us.
We finished up at a winery that was lovely even though my wife and I do not drink. It was a lovely event, and we are looking forward to next year. My wife wants to drive her little Fiat next year.

I’m sorry, but your story lacks credibility. Are we supposed to believe that a Jaguar had engine problems? Sorry, not buying it.

There’s a lot of good stuff going on here and I’m not even that big of an Alfa fan! Love that Sprint Veloce.
The special edition is a 50th Anniversary for Pininfarina. The paint is unique to them and they even came with a special key chain.
